I had a Shake Shack burger today in West Hollywood and it’s the best fast food hamburger
by far
. Five Guys tries to be Shake Shack, but not as good, though Five Guys’ fries are hard to beat.
Good bokeh for a potato-cam, eh? Nexus 5

Hell no. The Burgers Priest is far better. It is a small chain scatted across the GTA/Cental Ontario.
This is called “The Vatican City”, a double cheese burger with 2 grilled cheese sandwiches for “buns”.

My mom told me these are amazing, I want to try them. I live in the GTA so next chance I get im going to try.
One place I really like is The Works around the GTA. It’s not the “best” burger place, but they have so much variety for toppings and stuff I love it.

If that is not enough they also do one called “The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse”. It is a Vatican style with more. Their “secret” menu is no on display in the shops, but you can ask for it. http://www.theburgerspriest.com

I don’t even put Five Guys and Shake Shack in the same burger category. They’re both good - just different.

Can’t stand that place, easily the most overrated burger place in the country. I can’t see any reason to spend $20 on a mediocre burger, soggy fries, and a forgettable shake. 5 guys allllllll day

I went to see what the hype was about, wasn’t impressed. I’d rather eat at “Steak & Shake".

They have incredible burgers, but don't kid yourself and call this a "fast food" burger. When they have more than single location "boutique" burger shops in only a handful of large cities, and I can drive up to a drive-thru and order from it, then it'll be a fast food burger. Right now, they're just very expensive, yet tasty, burgers at a sit-down burger-themed restaurant in limited markets.

That looks good, but that patty looks like it was put together by my three year-old.

Can you get beer at Five Guys? Because you can get a beer at shake shake. I got a beer, burger, and fries and still didn't spend $20.

They are putting a Shake Shack about 50 paces from the elevator I take to get to my office — it opens in December. By June, I may weigh about 300 lbs and be wearing a muumuu to the office.

I don’t think you can. I distinctly remember it being around $20 in nyc though

I'll have to agree with you on this one. Their vanilla shake is amazing, but their cheese fries are the main reason I always go:

I have to disagree. My favorite NYC based burger place is Burger Joint. I don’t like the crinkle cut fries anywhere. I think the best chain is either In-N-Out or 5 Guys. In-N-Out wins based on value though.

I don’t know anything about NYC-based, INO Burger fries remind me of those fried potatoes that come in a can to go on Chinese food. And I find the burgers totally unremarkable. Five Guys has great fries, and their burgers are good.

I have to admit that as-is INO fries are not great or remarkable. I have to ask them to be “light well” for them to be good. I still think the Cajun fries at five guys are better. all of this is making me hungry.
